COMPETITION MATCHES PLAYED. Interesting play in the Ashburton Basketball! Association’s Competition matches on Saturday was witnessed by a large attendance. Despite the wet condition of the ground after showers
of rain, the play was good throughout. The results were:— Senior A. Grade —Rokeby 26, St. Andrew’s 19; Technical Old Girls 16, Convent Old Girls 9; Timvald 13, St. Stephen’s 6. Senior B Grade Winchmoro 13, . High School 11; Technical School T2, McKenzie’s 16; Lauriston 19, Rakaia 3; High School Old Liirls 20, St. Stephen’s 9. Junior A. Grade—Technical High School 13, Convent Old Girls 15; Alienton defeated Hampstead by default. Lagmhor 18, High School Old Girls 3; St. Stephen’s 4, Timvald 1 ; Technical Okl Girls 15, St. Andrew’s 9. Junior B. Grade—Hinds 18, Technical School 7; High School 10, Allenton 5; Eiffelton 21, Springburn B 15; Springburn A defeated St. Stephen’s by default.
