PERSONAL.
The Rev. L. G. Hanna, of R aka in, conducted the morning service at the Baring Square Methodist Church yesterday.
Constable T. W. Round, Ashburton, has been appointed. County inquiry officer in place of Constable J. E. R. Myers, who has been transferred to Owaka.
Mr W. T. Corbett has been appointed sole selector for the Ashburton Women’s Hockey Association. Mr A. G. McHardy, who held this position previously, has been transferred to Waimate.
Fireman C. Bax, of Ashburton, was elected senior vice-president of the Mid-Canterbury Provincial Fire Brigades’ Association at the annual conference held at Leeston on Saturday evening. Lieutenant G. Solway, of Ashburton, was appointed to the executive.
