J. A. Bonnier (Government) ... 16,462 Houde (Ind. Conservative) ... 11.949 Gingras (Ind, Liberal) ... 325
Retention of seat is officially declared to be vindication of the defence policy, which was attacked by Dir Houde, wiio alleged the existence of a secret agreement with Britain to supply five divisions for any war in which the Empire might he involved. Mr Houde persisted in his allegation, despite official denials.
