£ ;WAR Warm weather Avas experienced in Ashburton to-day. The sky Avas covered in the morning with light clouds, through Avliich the heat of the sun penotrated. There Avas a light southerly wind. The maximum temperature yesterday Avas 67.8 degrees and the inside minimum last night 52 degrees. The barometer at 9 o’clock this morning stood at inches, a fall from 30.01 inches yesterday morning.
TO-DAY’S FORECAST.
(Per Press Association.) WELLINGTON, This Day. The Government Meteorologist, at noon to-day, issued the following statement regarding the weather:— General inference: An anticyclone of moderate but decreasing intensity covers the Dominion. A. cyclone is located off the coast of Queensland and pressure is falling someAvhat over South-Eastern Australia. The forecast for the east const of the South Island from Blenheim to Oamaru is as follows:
Light to moderate and variable Avinds, but northerlies prevailing. Weather fair to fine and warm, but morning mist or fog in places. Seas slight to moderate.
