PERSONAL.

The resignation of Mr J. H. Chapman (accountant) was accepted with regret as from December 31 by the Otago Hospital Board. The board recorded appreciation of his services and extended to Mr Chapman congratulations on his appointment as secretary to the Ashburton Hospital Board. Mr B. S. Wilkie has been recommended by the Board of Examiners of the Otago School of Dentistry for the Leask Memorial Medal for excellence in prosthetic dentistry. The Dean of the School in making the announcement says that the award is not made annually —only when super-excellence is shown, and fs regarded in the school as a high honour. Mr Wilkie is a son of Mr J. M. Wilkie, of Ashburton.
