METHODIST CHURCH.
BARING SQUARE CONGREGATION. THE ANNUAL MEETING. The Rev. A. Mcßean presided over a fair attendance at the annual meeting of Baring Square Methodist Church, held on Wednesday evening. After the usual devotional exercises and a short address by the chairman, a vote of sympathy was passed with the widow and family of the late Mr W. H. Robinson, who for many years was an office-bearer of the church. The following officers were elected for the ensuing year: 'Society stewards, Messrs H. Money, C. Dellow, C. S. Hawkey, R. Watts, L. Gross, E. Dellow and L. Armstrong; minister’s stewards, Messrs H. Money, B. H. Carter, W. K. Waters, K. Robinson, and C. Bishop; members’ representatives to quarterly meeting Mesdames L. Hopkins, C. Dellow, A. Mcßean, S. G. Macfarlane, Miss G. Hopwood and Mr L. Stone; Sacramental stewards, Misses A. Watson, B. Chapman and Alice Watson; envelope stewards, Messrs K. Robinson and L. Stone; agent for “Methodist Times,” Mr H. Stone; reporter, Mrs J. H. Millar; agent for “Open Door,” Miss G. Hopwood; Foreign Mission Committee, Mrs H. Tinker, Miss B. Chapman, Sister Mildred, Messrs L. Armstrong and IC. Fowke; Home Mission Committee, Sister Mildred, Miss A. Watson, Mrs Agnew, Messrs R. Watts and H. Money; Orphanage Committee, Mesdames Hawkey, Wishart, Carter and Amos and Miss N. Watson.
During the evening annual tickets of membership were distributed, and at the close refreshments were served by the ladies.
