ENGLAND TO AUSTRALIA. MISS BATTEN MAY BE INVITED, SAME TIME AS BItOADBENT. (United Press Association— Copyright. ) (Received This Day, 13.5 p.m.) SYDNEY, This Day. The “Daily Telegraph” says that an invitation to Miss Jean Batten to attempt to lower the record for the flight from England to Australia, simultaneously with an effort by Mr H. L. Broadbent, is being considered. The flights would lie made during the 150th anniversary celebrations.
Mr Broadbont’s offer to attempt to break the record at that time lias already been accepted. Others may also he asked to make an attempt on the record.
