SPANISH LOYALIST MOVEMENT. CABINET RESIGNATION LIKELY. RESULT OF A CONFERENCE. (United Press Association—Copyright.) (Received This Day, 9.5 a.m.) PARIS, November 24. The Bayonne correspondent of the newspaper “Le Soir” predicts the almost immediate resignation of the Spanish Government, and the formation of a more moderate 1 Cabinet, headed by Senor Ca Had eras, former Prime Minister, who will be prepared to negotiate with General Franco. The decision is reported to have been reached at a conference at Barcelona with Senor Louis Companys and Dr. Negrin. The paper states that 3000 anarchists were shot in Barcelona recently, and 2000 died of starvation. GENERAL FRANCO’S PLANS. THREAT OF POWERFUL OFFENSIVE. (Received This Day, 9.5 a.m.) SALAMANCA, November 24. General Franco is hopeful that the new offensive will crush the Republicans and speedily end the war. Preparations for a great push are continuing. It is reported that there are now 300,000 in one sector alone. LOYALISTS REPEL ATTACKS. MADRID, November 24. A loyalist attack in the Toledo sector drove back tlie rebels, who left munitions and arms. Several rebel raids in loyalist territory in Valencia, Tarragona, and Lerida were driven off with casualties.
