(From Our Own Correspondents.) RAKAIA. SUNDAY SCHOOL ANNIVERSARY. The St. Andrew.’s Presbyterian Church, Riakaia, was well attended on Sunday evening, when the Sunday School held its anniversary service. Special music was contributed by the children under the baton of Miss M. Ashford. The preacher was the Rev. D. D. McLaohlan (Tinwald), who gave an interesting address to the children. The children’s choir sang the anthem “Lift Up the Blessed Gospel Banner” ; a solo, “In the Garden,” _by Master Errol Hardy, and a quintet, “The Future Lies Before Me,” was sung by Misses M. Ashford,, M. Lee and E. Lee, and Messrs L. Burrowes and W. Ashford. f Bible Class Social. The Rakaia Presbyterian Bible Class held a successful social evening in the Burrowes granary recently. Numerous friends and members from Ashburton, Wakanui, and the Rakaia Methodist and Anglican Bible Classes were present. Many games and competitions were held. Messrs L. Burrowes and W. Ashford were masters of ceremonies.
