At the wool sales 7582 hales were offered, including 2947 New Zealand, 4990 were sold. A good selection met a quieter demand,, buyers displaying some hesitancy. New Zealand slipe halfbred lambs, “Waitaki-Pukeuri sold up to 14d, with an average of 12R1.

CAPITAL ADJUSTMENT.

COURT SANCTIONS SCHEME. (Received This Day, 9.40 a.m.) LONDON, November 23. The Courts sanctioned the New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company’s scheme regarding capital. Mr Justice Simonds declared that the scheme is based on the presumption that English, Australian, and New Zealand Currencies would continue at the present ratio. If they acquired parity it would put the company in a strong position. Counsel- agreed, hut said that the directors were justified in carrying out the scheme in the circumstances. The judge replied that as the scheme was based on adjustment necessitated by currency depreciation he would confirm it. ANTWERP WOOL FUTURES (Received This Day, 9.40 a.m.) LONDON, November 23.
