Two battleships of 26,000 tons, armed with 11-inch guns. Three 10,000-ton pocket battleships, armed with 11-inch guns. Five 10,000-ton and eight 7000-ten cruisers. Two aircraft-carriers of 20,000 tons. Twenty-two super, and 30 smaller destroyers. Sixty-one submarines. This programme conforms with the 100-35 ratio under the London Naval Treaty. A Berlin cablegram dated Nov. 18 stated: The German Naval Year Book for 1938 reveals that two new 35,000ton battleships are under construction. This is the largest gun ever mounted on a battleship. The German guns at the Battle of Jutland were 12-inch.
