FARM COMPETITION ABANDONED. ONLY TWO FARMERS INTERESTED As only two entries have been received for the Ashburton farm competition promoted by the Ashburton Agricultural and Pastoral Association for prizes offered by Mr J. Montgomery, of Christchurch, nothing further will be done in regard to the competition. Entry was open to farmers who have holdings of an unimproved value of less than £IO,OOO. The competition was held in 1035 and 1936, Mr J. Stewart (Rakaia) winning the first and Mr A. M. Stephens (Lagmhor) the second.
