WAIN WRIGHT’S RECORDS. LONDON, November 20. The remarkable achievements of Norman Wainwright, Empire Games representative, are included in the list of records approved by the Amateur Swimming Association. Wainwright has been awarded the British records for 150 yards in 1 minute 27 seconds; 300 yards in 3 minutes 13 1-5 seconds; 440 yards in 4 minutes 54 2-5 seconds; 880 yards in 10 minutes 26 2-5 sesonds; and the one mile in 21 minutes 45 seconds.
Miss R. Hveger (Denmark) was awarded the world’s 150 yards backstroke record, her time being 1 minute 49 4-5 seconds.
