SOUTHLAND RACING CLUB. ARDOHOILLE WINS CUP. ('Per PreßS Association.) INVERCARGILL, November 20. The Southland Racing Club’s meeting was held to-day in fine weather and before a large attendance. The track was dead. The totalisator handled £16,117 10s against £15,578 10s on the corresponding day last year. Concluding results:— Southland Cup Handicap, of £200; one mile and a quarter—3 (2) Ardclioille 7.8 car. 7.5 (P. Spratt) 1, 1 (1) Milford 9.0 2, 4 (3) Grand Finale 8.2 3. Won by a long neck; a length and a half between second and third. Time, 2.12. < New River Harness Trot, of £135; 3.7 class; one mile and a quarter—s (4) Direct Bell scr (P. P. The annual meeting of the Levin Racing Club was held in fine weather. The track was in good order and there was a large attendance. The totalisator put through £16,197 10s, compared with last year’s £14,132, an increase of £2065 10s. Concluding results:— Mako Mako Handicap, of £100; six furlongs—l Wagner 8.3 (P. WAIKATO RACES DEAD HEAT IN CUP. HAMILTON, November 20. The Waikato races were opened in fine weather. There was a large attendance and the track was in good order. The totalisator handled £51,575, against £42,562 10s, an increase of £9012 10s on the figures for the corresponding meeting in 1936. Time, 2.4 J. Manama and Rietrieved were unplaced in the Horseley Handicap and Kinsfolk was unplaced in the Leumah Handicap. VICTORIA AMATEUR TURF CLUB. ECLIPSE STAKES WON ON PROTEST. Donaster passed the post first by half a head but a protest against him was upheld. He was placed second, with Black Mac one and a half lengths away third. Time, 2.17 1 .
