TRADE AGREEMENT.
NEW ZEALAND AND AUSTRALIA,
DOMINION WANTS REVISION. (Per Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, This Day. The announcement that it is the intention of the New Zealand Government to enter into negotiations with the Australian Government almost immediately, with the object of bringing about a. revision of the trade agreement between the countries, was given by the Minister of Industries and Commerce (the Hon. D. G. Sullivan) this morning. Mr Sullivan said that six months’ notice on either side was required in order to revise the agreement, and he thought there was little doubt that both sides would he willing to discuss the matter. It was, however, the wish of the New Zealand Government to have revision of the agreement, and it was intended to take the initiative.
