BOXING
BAER GOING TO ENGLAND. NEW YORK, February 24. The boxer, Max Baer, angered at what ho considered insults from the members, stalked out of- the meeting of the Athletic Commission, at which he appeared to apply for the renewal of his boxing license. His manager announced that he and Baer would ignore the bout arranged with Pastor, and would sail on March 3 for Ehgland to begin training.
This action made it unnecessary for Brigadier-General A. C. Critcldey, the London promoter, to appear before the association.
MANN BEATS BARLUND.
NEW YORK, February 25
Nathan Mann outpointed Gunner Barlund in a 10-round bout. This is Barlund’s first defeat in the United States.
