The annual conference of the New Zealand Brass Bands’ Association today elected the following officers: — Patron, the Got ernor-General (Viscount Galway); president, Mr E. Palliser; vice-presidents, Messrs T. Lindsay Buick, F. W. G. McLeod, Walker, G. Bailey; secretary-treasurer, Mr J. G. Osborne; management committee, Messrs C. G. Baker, A. G. Homer, E. R. Hopw r ood, T. Goodall, W. P. McLachlan and C. Pateliett. Wanganui and Palmerston North applied for next year’s contest, which will be decided later by the executive.
