METHVIEN SCHOOL SPORTS. « SOME CLOSE CONTESTS. t The annual sports of the Methvon District High School extended over several days and were concluded yesterday. There was a good attendance of parents and friends. Some good contests were witnessed. In the senior and junior girls’ championships, junior boys’ championship, the results were in doubt until the last event was concluded, while in the senior boys’ only five points separated the first and second. In the senior girls’ L. Kidd with 16 points was first with B. Oldfield 14 points second. The junior girls’ championship was won by Peggy Wightman with 14 points and Jessie Lumsden was second with 12 points. The senior hoys’ championship was won by) S. Holmes 21 points, with L. Ayers 16 points second. The junior boys winner -was I. Graham 16 points, and D. Campion 15 points was runnerup. The programme was well organised and under the direction of the headmaster (Mr A. IS.
