DOMINION PRODUCE. HIGH COMMISSIONER’S REPORT. SYDNEY WOOL SALES. PRICES IN SELLERS’ FAVOUR. (United Press Association—Copyright.) SYDNEY, September 7. At to-day’s wool sales there was wider competition from Yorkshire and Germany for all well-grown fleece and skirtings and good support from France and Italy on suitable lines. The best wools sold in sellers’ favour and average to faulty were unchanged. Greasy merino made to 20Jd. A total of 11,541 bales was offered., of which 9336 were sold at auction and 368 were sold privately. The average price of wool last week was 12.5 d per lb, or £l6 16s 5d a bale. The average prices for Australian wool in the last five years were: — A bale. Per lb.
