RECORD NOT GRANTED. V. P. BOOT’S 880 YARDS. WELLINGTON, September 1. After considering a letter from the Canterbury Centre about its application to have V. P. Boot’s 880 yards performance on March 24 declared a record, the council of the New Zealand Amateur Athletic Association to-night decided to adhere to its former decision not to grant the record.
