APPEAL TO WORKERS.

LOYALTY TO COURT DESIRED. (Per Press Association.) AUCKLAND, Sept. 1. An appeal to the workers to abide loyally by the decisions of the Arbitration Court was made by the president of the New Zealand Labour Party (the Rev. Clyde Carr, M.P.), in a speech at Onehunga, when the Manukau byelection campaign was opened. “Some workers are dissatisfied because they are not getting everything all at once,’’ said Air Carr, after discussing the restoration of the Court’s powers. “AA r ell, if they are not satisfied with the Court they should know what to do. They must be just as ready as the employers have been for- many years to accept the decisions of the tribunal which holds a mandate to carry out the policy of the Government, weighs all the evidence, and gives a considered decision. I hope that all talk of strikes and protest meetings is a thing of the past. It is the duty of the workers to manifest the same fairness and consideration toward the Government as the employing classes have shown in past months. I appeal to the workers of Alanukau, of Auckland, of New Zealand, not to embarrass the Labour Government, which is doing its best for the welfare of this country on whose prosperity we all depend.”
