ACCIDENTS & DEATHS.
FATALLY INJURED IN A CAR. YOUNG WOMAN AT WELLINGTON. (Per Press Association). WELLINGTON, This Day. Miss Alma McNabL, aged 19, of Mills Road, Lower Hutt, died in hospital today following injuries received at Lowry. Bay last night. Lewis Donald Jenners, of Lowry Bay, who was driving her, said his coat caught in .the light controls. He pulled across the road in keeping the car out of the harbour and got ditched. On recovering consciousness he found the door open and Miss McNabb gone. He found her lying partly on the road and partly on the sea-wall. He went home for his father’s car and on getting back found another motorist at the spot, with whose assistance he got her into the car and drove to Petono, where the doctor ordered her to hospital. MAN SUCCUMBS TO INJURIES. OAMARU, This Day. Mr William Patrick Cullimore, a married man, aged 23, who was injured by a fall of earth at the relief works on the Boi’ough Reserve on May 28, died in the hospital last e'vening. INJURIES PROVE FATAL. GREYMOUTH, August 21. Mrs Mary Brennan aged 78, who was seriously injured at the Tainui street crossing, Greyinouth, on Thursday, died in the Greymouth hospital.
