ALLENTON SPORTS CLUB.
DECISIONS OF THE EXECUTIVE. The executive of the Alleinton Sports Club held its first meeting of the season, last evening, the president (Mr E. C. Bathurst) presiding. The president welcomed new members. The advisability of repairing the motor mower was discussed, and power to act in the matter was left in the hands of the president. The president was re-elected green supervisor, and reported that the greens were all in good order, and that spring top-dressing was shortly to bo carried out. The president and Mr J. R. Mclnnes were appointed to investigate the levelling and sowing of a rough and uncultivated area on the club’s property. Opening day was tentatively fixed for October 10.
It was suggested that the annual
meeting be held later in the year than at present, and after discussion further consideration was held! over till the end of the season. A recommendation from a meeting members that the club blazer be changed to a blue darker than the present blazer, with a grey monogram and without facings, was received. After a long discussion it was decided to submit designs in plain colours and stripes to a general meeting of members on September 9, when the blazer will finally be decided.
