CONDITIONS IN ENGLAND. (United Press Association—Copyright.) LONDON, August 17. After six weeks of unseasonable weather London and the -south of England are enjoying a spell of sunny, hot weather. Swimming pools and open-air cafes, which have been poorly patronised so far this summer, are crowded, and nearly 16,000 watched the India-England test match at the Oval a much improved attendance compared with Saturday’s.—British Official Wireless.
