DENTAL CLINIC.
ESTABLISHMENT AT MAYFIELD.
URGED' BY NEARBY COMMITTEES
The Mayfield, Ruapuna, Lismore, Wester field, Anama and Montalto school committees met in the Mayfield School on Saturday evening to consider the question of a dental clinic and, a district high school. The chairman (Mr Raymond Oakley) welcomed the representatives and expressed pleasure that Mr S. Smith (a member of the Education Board) was able to be present.
Mr Smith addressed the meeting, stressing the value of the work of the dental clinics.
After a thorough discussion on the subject the following resolution was carried unanimously: “That this meeting of representatives of the various schools endeavour to establish a dental clinic sub-base at the Mayfield school. Discussion on the matter of transport and a district high school resulted in a resolution being carried that after the various committees had further considered the matter, and obtained certain information, another meeting be held on August 1 to further discuss the'matter!
The chairman proposed a hearty vote of thanks to Mr Smith for his assistance. This was carried by acclamation.
