DIET IN RUSSIA.
CHAMPAGNE FOR THE WORKERS (Received This Day, 1.20 p.m.) MOSCOW, July 17. ' The Food Commissar (M. Mikoyan), in a speech, to the heads of food industries, declared that champagne was not too good for the palates of Soviet workers. He urged a big increase in the productions of wines and other drinks ta enable the workers to lead merrier lives, The champagne industry must set as its goal 10,000,000 bottles yearly. At present it is 160,000. Now that the scarcity had passed most new foods should he introduced into everyday diet.
