AVERTING A SLUMP.
WHEAT MARKET IN EGYPT. (United Press Association—Copyright' ALEXANDRA, June 17. In order to avert a slump in the wheat market the Egyptian Government is guaranteeing hanks giving ad—vances on wheat. It is officially stated that it is not intended to raise prices artificially, but merely to stop a panic consequent on the arrival of the new crop before the old crop is disposed of.
