MINIATURE RIFLES.

THE ASHBURTON CLUB. The weekly shoot of the Ashburton Miniature Rifle Club was held last evening, when a trophy donated by Mr G. Bowman was fired for. Four shoots will be fired. The first two scores recorded were: H. Healey 76, 79, R. Reddecliffe 73, 71, L. McNatty 78, 79, W. Cbrbett 75, 73, R. Childs 77, 78, H. Shierlaw 74, 75, F. Porter 77, 76, R, Bramley 79, 78, A. Etheridge 76, 78, H. Schluter 72, 62, C. Goodfellow 74, 74, R. Watson 77, 78, G. Lusk 79, 75. H. Healey, L. McNatty, R. Bramley and G. Lusk tied for the weekly button with 79 each. The shoot-off resulted in L. McNatty securing the button. The club will "visit Staveley this evening for a friendly shoot.

THE STAVELEY CLUB. Only the senior men fired at the Staveley Miniature Rifle Club's shoot this week, when the second shoot for a trophy given by Mr J. McElhinney was iired. There was a good attendance at the weekly shoot of the Mount Somers Miniature Rifle Club, held on Tuesday evening, when the third shoot for the No. 2 trophy was fired in conjunction with shoots for the Wolnxers, Hood Memorial and Lincoln Hills junior cups. MOUNT SOMERS DEFEATS WAIAU. In a postal shoot with Waiau, the Mount Somers Miniature Rifle Club won by 543 to 540. Details are: Waiau—K. Dunbar 70, T. Dunbar 70, H. Smale 69, O. Davies 68, B.
