AUCKLAND GETS 4000 TONS. (Per Press Association.) AUCKLAND, June 15. l In spite of the Government’s decision ’to :prohibit the importation of wheat, a shipment of 4000 tons from Australia was landed 'by the Kairanga at Auckland on Thursday last. A Circular issued by an Auckland merchant states that this was imported by the Government to supply local mills. The circular states it is understood that the wheat would be used by Auckland mills to strengthen New Zealand flour: which had recently shown signs of weakness. It was stated that the Government had not yet decided to continue to import wheat from Australia.
