MR POLSON’S POLITICAL ‘ ' ACTIVITIES. ‘ (Per Press Association.) ‘GRE-YMOUTH, June 12. The \Vest Coast conference of the Farmers’ Union to-day discussed two I'emits regarding the political activities of the Dominion president (Mr W. J. Polson, M.P.) and unanimously adopted a remit as follows: “That this conference takes exception to the presiv dent of the New Zealand Farmers” Union with regard to party politics in Union affairs, also that no member of Parliament is deemed eligible for the position of Dominion president.” It was also resolved to recommend the Gmernment that in- framing the guaranteed price plan it should see that factories having considerable ex—pense in sending: butter to grading stores be not penalised. . It was also decided to oppose the Hon. F. TWziite’s proposal to permit the Dominion president, on retirement, to remain on the Dominion executive.
