At the yearling sales an interesting aspect was the appearance for the first time of Veilmond’s offspring, the highest price for which was obtained for a brown colt from Mooch Along,. which realised 350 guineas. Other Veilmond offsprings realised from 45 to 200 guineas. W. C. Ring paid 200 guineas each for a brown Silver bur n-Sundance colt and a bay Excitement-Restful colt. Wright, Stephenson and Co. paid 160 guineas for a black Excitement-Period filly. A bay filly by Nightmarch from Rapina was sold to W-. O. Haslett (South Australia) for 100 guineas, and a. chestnut filly by Philemore from Sennight was sold to the Randwick trainer, J. W. Cook, for 130 guineas. THE RANDWICK MEETING.
