JAPANESE AIMS
NEW ARMAMENT POLICY.
MISSION IN THE FAR EAST. WILL REMOVE ALL OBSTACLES. United Press Association—Copyright) (Received This Day, 10.35 a.m.) LONDON, April 14. A correspondent of the “Sun-Her-ald” Service says that, preparing the nation for a sustained effort to provide armaments which Japan’s new policy in Asia requires, the Japanese War Office has circulated, for domestic consumption a pamphlet outlining Japan’s international position from the viewpoint of the army, also a comparison of Japanese and Russian armaments, including a may showing Russia’s Far Eastern forts, armaments, tanks and aeroplanes. The pamphlet says: “By the Japan-ese-Manchukuan protocal our first line of defence has been advanced to the Soviet frontier, where the heavilyarmed Far Eastern Red Army confronts our forces. Russia’s Government has completely changed since the Russo-Japanese war, .but her aggressive Ear Eastern policy is unchanged. England and America . jealously watch Japan’s rise. If any country attempts to prevent us attaining our mission m East Asia we shall remove the obstacle by all the means in our power.”
