RIFLE SHOOTING.
NATIONAL MEETING OPENED. CHANGES IN CONDITIONS. TRENTHAM, This Day. The annual meeting of the National Rifle Association was opened at Trentham to-day in fine weather. This year’s meeting has attracted 254 marksmen. For this meeting the Association has adopted a time limit of one minute per shot from the time the target is exposed. It has als|p. .reinstated the King’s Fifty and the Service Fifty, comprising 50 marksmen entitled to fire in the final matches for the King’s Prize and the Service championship, but the final 10 to gain places in the fifties will not receive any extra prizemoney.
