ALLENTON CLUB MATCHES. The following will represent the Allenton Bowling Club in the Town v. Country match to be played on the Canterbury green on March 14: —M. P. Cooke, W. Horrell, J. Boothroyd, W. Acton (s). The following two rinks will play in the Langley Cup match at Rakaia on March 14: —J. Gowans, H. Silverwood, P. Boothroyd, J. Stevenson (s); J. Shaw, T. Welch, W. Hedges, J. Templeton (s).
RIFLE SHOOTING. THE WAIRARAPA MEETING. MASEFIELD WINS CHAMPIONSHIP. (Per Press Association). CARTERTON, March 4. At the forty-first annual handicap meeting of the Wairarapa Rifle Association, held at Papawai range, Greytown, there were 75 entries, 20 more than last_ycar. The championship went to Captain W. N. Masefield (Marlborough), who also won the champion belt, the Bidwell Memorial Shield, the Maunsell Long-range' Cup, and the Rivers Cup. The runner-up was H. W. Feast, who was the winner of the Buchanan Shortrange Cup. The handicap cup was won by R. B. Gray, and, the Association Cup, for the best individual team score, by E. M. Wrigley.
