Dr. Gordon Moore left Ashburton today on a motor tour of the Southern Lakes districts.
Mr W. J. Anderson, of Flemington, accompanied by Mrs Anderson, left today for the south by motor. They intend to tour in the Lakes district.
Mr F. W. Stewart (Inspector of Permanent Ways at the Ashburton Railway Station), has received notice of his transfer to Napier on promotion.
Mr R. Chambers will represent the Ashburton Motor Cycle Club at the half-yearly meeting of the South Island Motor Union at Christchurch.
A Sydney cablegram states that it is announced that Lieutenant-Colonel James Imrie, of the headquarters' staff at Wellington, has been appointed territorial Young People's Secretary, with oversight of all the Young People's work of the Salvation Army in Now' South Wales and Queensland.
