MISSING LAUNCH.
FALSE HOPES FOR CREWi RAISED (Per Press Association). NEW PLYMOUTH, February G. A rumour gained wide currency today, and was even broadcast, that Mr W. F. McLeod and his son, Angus McLeod, had been rescued from their launch, which has been missing from New Plymouth since the week-end storm. High hopes were raised among their relatives and friends of the missing men when the rumour took definite shape that the men were in the Wellington Hospital. The rumour however, had no confirmation, and no hope is entertained of the men being found alive.
