OLYMPIC GAMES.
SNOW FALLS AT OPENING, ITALIANS THE LEAST POPULAR. (United Press Association —Copyright) (Received This Day, 12.32 p.m.) , BERLIN, Feb. 6. Snow has fallen uninterruptedly for 30 hours and continued during opening ceremony of the Olympic games. Nevertheless 75.000 people enthusiastically welcomed the teams on marching in, especially the Austrians. The Italians received the least cordiality. Guns saluted the National flags during the march past, and Herr Hitler gave the Nazi salute to each flag as it was lowered in passing the Fuhrer. ' Dr. von Halt, welcoming the foreigners, said that Germany had spared no effort to make the grounds a real symbol of international peace and understanding. The opening event was the ice hockey match, United States defeating Germany 1-0, despite the brilliance of the German crack, Rudi Ball, who is a Jew.
