Government ownership of the Bank of Canada, provision for a. greater measure of Government over Canadian National railways, a House Committee on radio broadcasting, and a further inquiry into importation and distribution of anthracite coal were forecast in the speech from the throne at the opening of the Canadian Parliament. Satisfaction is voiced at the adherence of Canada to the League of Nations. Confidence was expressed' that adherence had the approval .of the people of Canada as a whole. Parliament will foe asked, with the approval of the provinces, to make provision for the creation of a National Commission to deal with unemployment and relief.
