SEQUEL TO SEAMEN'S STRIKE. United Press Association—Copyright) SYDNEY, February 4. In the High Court to-day, l>efore Mr Justice Evatt, Eliot Valens Elliott, a ■seaman, sought a contempt order against Robert 0. Menzies, Federal Attorney-General, and against C. Brunsdon Fletcher, editor of the “Sydney Morning Herald.” The application is based on statements by Menzies to a deputation from the Seamen’s Union on December 18, to' do with the strike, and published' in the “Sydney Morning Herald” (he following day. Elliott claimed that the publication prejudiced the case. Mr Justice Evatt referred the application to the Full High Court.
