Having attended the Imperial Rugby Conference in London, Mr S. S. Dean (chairman of the New Zealand Rugby Union Management Committee) and Mr J. Prendeville (president of the Wellington Rugby Union) arrived by the Oroutes. In a joint interview they said that as a result of the conference the Dominions would, through the Rugby Football Union (England) have a. greater voice in framing the laws of the game. The constitution of a special constitution and laws committee had been approved by the conference. Australia’s request for an amendment to the kicking into touch rule was' sure to be approved by the Home authorities. Messrs Dean and Prendeville added that there should be a far better understanding and greater harmony in the management, control and playing of the game as a result of the conference, which was the first at which ail the Dominions had been represented.
