COMING SESSION
LEGISLATION BEING FRAMED. AAIENDAIENTS TO LABOUR LAWS. (Per Press Association). WELLINGTON, January 20. The Government is getting legislation under way for the session. The Alinister of Labour (the Hon. H. T. Armstrong) stated that proposals to amend the Industrial Conciliation and Arbitration Act were in the hands of the law draftsman. The main alteration would be to restore the right of appeal of workers to go to the Court. There were also a number of other provisions in the new legislation. Air Armstrong added that he intended to investigate - the apprenticeship law, Shops and Offices Act, and workers’ compensation law with a view to preparing legislation for next session. He said that on these matters he would be quite prepared to receive representations from employers and workers.
