MARATHON RUNNERS IN JAPAN. SIX WORLD RECORB HOLDERS. (Received This Day, 11.20 a.m.) BRISBANE, This Day. Mr S. Gudsell, of New Zealand, who arrived from Japan.* yesterday, said that Japanese athletes were eager to meet Australians and New Zealanders, and were preparing for a Pacific Zone athletic meeting. Mr Gudsell added that Marathon running had captured the imagination of the Japanese. He had met six Marathon runners who had broken world records. AUSTRALIAN CHAMPIONSHIPS.
