BOWLING.
NEW ZEALAND CHAMPIONSHIPS. THE POST-SECTION GAMES. (Per Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, This "Day. "With many players eliminated yesterday only two greens were in use to-day when the post-sectional play was continued in the New Zealand bowling tournament. In the rinks championship play was in progress at St. Albans and Barrington. In striking contrast to the miserable conditions prevailing "for the most of the tournament, the weather was fine and warm. The time limit is now operating on all games. The rinks must be finished within three hours, the pairs within two and a quarter hours, and: the singles within an hour and a half. It appears more than likely that the finals will be reached to-morrow afternoon, but this depends on eliminations in the rinks, which take precedence over the pairs and singles. In the first round final draw of the singles Alloo (Owaka) 20 defeated McInnes (Temuka) 8. Alloo never looked like being beaten by Mclnnes. Alloo still has his two lives intact, and the title seems to be within his grasp. Details of games in the fourth round of the rinksllre: — Two LiVes.
