ENTERTAINMENTS.
ST. JAMES THEATRE
Patrons will have their final chance this evening of seeing "Shipmates Forever," the Warner Brothers film which will be shown at the St. James Theatre. Featuring Ruby Keeler, Dick Powell, and Louis Stone, this film provides excellent entertainment. It is a story ox the American navy. Powell sings, studies and sulks; he dashes through fire and scalding steam to save a friend. Miss Keeler dances, goes through emotional scenes, despairs and exults. There is some powerful drama, and the picture tells of Powell's progress as a radio singer and then as a student in the naval academy. Though the film cannot be placed in the category of a "musical," it has several tuneful songs which Powell sings, and there is some wonderful dancing on the part of Hiss Keeler. Showing on Thursday and Friday there will be "Princess O'Hara," which will feature Jean Parker and Chester Morris.
