THE ASHBURTON MATCHES. PERFORMANCES ON SATURDAY. High scores were not a feature of Saturday’s senior cricket in the matches between Old Boys and Kia Ora, and Fairfield and Technical. H. Adams (Lauriston) 55, were the best scorers. H, Adams (Lauriston) with five for 42 and V. Stills (Tinwald) with three for 9, had the best bowling averages. Playing at Methven, Ashburton beat Methven by 105 on the first innings. The best batting performance in the match was that of J. B. Nicoll (Ashburton), who scored 81 runs.
