DAIRY PRODUCE.
GOVERNMENT AND BOARD. (Per Press Association.) WELLINGTON, January 12. The desire of the Government to see the overseas selling of the Dominion s primary produce placed on the best possible basis was mentioned by the Prime Minister (the Hon. M. JSavage) in an interview on Saturday. He said that the Dairy Board was out to do its best for the dairy exports of New Zealand. The Government, however, had a definite policy also, and it was only fair that it should place that policy before the board so that there would be no conflict afterwards If the deputy-chairman of the boat a, Mr C. P. Agar (whose visit to England the Government has asked the board to postpone), knew the Governments views before lie went to England, he would be in a better position to put a case, and there would then be no room for misunderstanding. The directors of the Co-operative Wholesale Society of England, who are now on one of their periodic visits to New Zealand, met the Ministers on Saturday morning. Their discussion lasted more than two hours. Mr Savage said that questions of general trade were discussed.
