SMASH-AND-GRAB.
£IOO WORTH OF JEWELLERY. (Per Press Association.) WELLINGTON, January 12. A smash and grab raid was carried out, on Mr E. S. NeilPs jeweller’s shop at Jackson Street, Petone, at about 4 o’clock this morning. The thieves left in a motor-car, with £lO9 worth fo watches and jewellery, which had been displayed on trays in the windows.
The noise of broken glass was heard by a man in a side street who arrived to see a man carrying trays of jewellery jump into a motor-car and drive away.
