HUGE DEPOSIT.
COAL FIELD NEAR GLASGOW. QUESTION OF DEVELOPMENT. (United Press Association—Copyright.) LONDON, Jan. 7. A proposal is under consideration for the development of coal deposits near Glasgow, estimated to be < worth £7,000,000, and calculated! to give employment to nearly 1000 men for about 40 years. Two large Scottish colliery firms are interested in the proposals, which will shortly come before the Railway and Canal Commissioners. The deposits lie under an estate which the Glasgow Corporation has under development for housing.—British Official Wireless.
