HOSPITAL DISPUTE.
AGREEMENT IN SIGHT. (Per Press Association). WAIHI, January S. Indications are that the long-drawn-out trouble at the Waihi Hospital will very shortly be over as a result of the visit of the Minister of Health (the Hon. P. Fraser) and the Director-Gen-eral of Health (Dr. Watt). The Minister stated after the conference with the Hospital Board that the conference had proved very satisfactory, and there weye good grounds for believing that an arrangement would shortly be agreed to by all concerned which would ensure that the best available medical and nursing skill would be permanently at the service of the hospital and the community; in fact, the basis and general principles of the proposal had been agreed to, and details would be worked out by Dr. Whtt in conjunction with Drs. Jenkins, Hetherington and Barrowclougii, and the Hospital Boaid.
