FARMERS WORLD TOUR

BRITISH PARTY FOR DOMINION. (Special to the "Guardian.") CHRISTCHURCH, This Day. A world tour for farmers has been arranged by the British National Union, and the party is expected to arrive at Auckland by the Wanganclla on February 28. The union has organised this tour in continuance of its policy of bringing the farming communities and interests of the Empire into personal touch to discuss matters of common concern. Although the object of the union is to foster exchange of trade, it is in no sense a commercial organisation. It is rather a patriotic movement organised to further the interests of the Empire and of its primary producers. It is non-political. The members of the touring party pay their own expenses. The party is to leave London on January 10 for Australia. In New Zealand a comprehensive tour of both islands will be undertaken. There will be frequent halts, when representatives of the various local industries will be met and when the members will be received at functions arranged by agricultural and farming associations.

The party will leave from Auckland by the Niagara for calling at Suva and Honolulu. They will cross Canada in April, before sailing for Southampton.
